I waited for a proper Chicago winter day to test this on a 6 mile cold - not freezing - run (high teens plus a 10mph wind). This does the job as well as any of my other winter running beanies (so it does the job well) but the game changer for me when it comes to all of Bambu's products is their anti-funk/anti-microbial properties. I'm impressed by how much I sweat during winter running and - counterintuitively - how damp and then funky my winter gear gets. Bambu's headgear does as good of a job (or better) than competitors from a form and function standpoint, while remaining impressively funk free. This is a tangible game-changer when you run six days a week, year round. As long as they continue to be priced competitively and effectively antimicrobial, I can't see myself owning running gear that isn't manufactured by Bambu.

This beanie looks great, it does not cause my skin to itch, and the material is VERY soft and comfortable! The logo is well positioned and I especially like the size of the ribbing, it's just the right size! Subtle yet visible. This is a premium beanie at a very reasonable price.

I've had the chance to put these through some serious motions, and they deliver on all of the promises attached to them (which is how I assess any product). Most recently I logged an ultra relay in the desert and hills of AZ in these; loads of miles over technical trails (lots of foot slippage/opportunities for blisters and hot spots) and these performed exceptionally well. No blisters. Wicks sweat very well/remain dry (I've also tested them in more humid climates). And my favorite feature of all of Bambu's products is their ability to resist funk/stink! I had a favorite performance sock brand before trying Bambu's that I still love - but I'm thinking I may stock up on some more Bambu socks to serve as a my primary performance sock moving forward.
I also wore my Bambu hat during the ultra relay - which I've already reviewed on here as my favorite running hat on the market today - it also performed exceptionally well.

Favorite running hat so far. Wicks sweat without leaving stains. Feels perfectly snug for running but not too tight with good sun protection.

Seemed to work pretty well, I appreciate the lack of synthetic fibers. Interested to see how it does after multiple washes. So far so good though!

I love how comfortable the Bambuwerx headbands feel! It hardly feels like they are on my head, but yet so effective at keeping my hair and sweat out of my face during hot yoga. I pair them with the Bambuwerx wristbands for added options to wipe the sweat from my face when my towel is not in reach while doing the yoga postures. But I love this headband. Very moisture wicking. Great quality and design.

I have a more comprehensive review of these hats on here. I wanted to update that one with a picture and an additional shocking surprise, but couldn't figure out how. Check out my more detailed review if interested, The short version is this: this is the best running hat I own and I own over 20. MY UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have worn this and sweat in this A LOT over the last month...doesn't smell at all. Not even a little. I can't get over this! So much so that I took a break while writing this to go and smell it - just to make sure I'm not imagining it/misrepresenting it in this review. Every other running hat I own after a month of training would be stinky - which I've never faulted them for! Unless something unexpected happens with this hat, I doubt I'll buy running hats from other manufacturers in the future.
